Public areas
Over the past few years we have designed and implemented various wooden benches and details on wonderful locations in Fazana and on Brijuni islands.
The presented works in design for public areas are unique, handmade and designed in collaboration with the client’s needs.
First bench we were invited to design was the one closest to our workshop, located near the church of San Eliseo. Set among the old olive yards, bench is made from white stone and black oak that recall the Istrian land and heritage.
Another special place, also located in Fazana municipality, more precisely in Valbandon, was chosen for the beauty of its flora and fauna. Close to the ornithological micro location on the confluence of fresh water into sea, with different species typical for such hydrological conditions and climate.
This resting area has 2 benches, but this time from the logs of black oak. Shaped as sculptures, both benches in their forms represent the grey heron (lat. Ardea cinerea), occasional tenant of the area.
Together with benches sanisio wooden design for public areas includes corresponding multifunctional pillars with information about the site and its specific flora and fauna.
Autonomous photovoltaic unit located on the top of the pillar provides light at the location at night while at the same time supplies power devices for sound reproduction.
In summer 2015. the idea evolved and spread over the sea. The Path of good Vibrations now has 8 stops! Three on the mainland (3rd is at the pier, close to the Lantern) and five on Brijuni.

For Tourist board Fazana we designed information panels in the park near the sea promenade. They turn the visitors attention and point to characteristic plants and trees like laurel, rosemary, weaver’s broom, olive, etc.
There are so many events in Fazana and you can see what’s up next on the notice boards in front of their tourist office. The notice board was inspired by Fazana’s heritage and symbols – a boat sail and pilchards.
Here you can find more details about The Path of good Vibrations and all sanisio public areas wooden design (don’t miss the Cat).
Enjoy in perfect peace and let the nature that surrounds you take your breath away.
